Lumpkin Family Connection | Lumpkin Challenge Course | Mentor Program

What is Family Connection?
Family Connection is the largest state wide network of communities in the nation. Presently there is a Family Connection Collaborative in 154 of the 159 counties in Georgia. Funds have been made available by the state legislature to re-activate the remaining five counties. Each year the Georgia General Assembly makes funds available to each Family Connection site. Other operating funds are provided by State and Federal grants as well as local contributions and fund raising activities. Each community develops a plan with strategies to improve results in five areas:
  • Healthy Children
  • Children ready for school
  • Children succeeding in school
  • Stable, Self-sufficient families
  • Strong Communities
